A woman in me and women around me

India is a land of culture where women are goddesses and worshiped. To its extreme in the same country women are treated with biased. Perhaps that’s the way we all are brought up. Including me, we all are egomaniacal males in some way or other.

I may be lap sided, but girls are most wonderful creation of god. A girl child is a gift and remains perennial sweet. Gifted with the ability to give birth, it’s someone who undergoes excruciating pain every month. They play major part in the upbringing of a child. Perhaps nature created them in such a way; they are gifted with endurance and forbearance. I am surrounded with all such beautiful ladies. Mother, sisters, aunties, nieces, colleagues, girl friend and I love them all. They made be what I am ! World will be unimaginable without them. But still the society is involved in heinous crimes against women. They abort them before they are born, rape them, sell them, molest them, beat them, hurt them and it’s a shame for all males who claims to run the world.

It is equally a fact we all are involved in a little lesser crimes to neglect women, torture them, humiliate them, subdue them or disrespect them. We have habit of exploiting anyone without power. We judge our women too early and suffocate their individuality. And all are involved in these lesser crimes right from parents, boyfriends, husbands and children. To quote some few…

If a girl is involved in a relationship its taboo to marry her, She becomes characterless. If a boy had a past its his childishness. Phew!! Even a boy knows he is involved in past relationships he will expect a “sati savitri” virgin! Weird!! Man keep lurching his owl eye on every next girl but when some others look on their sisters, wives or girlfriends they cannot bear and world becomes filthy place. Why? Boy in a family can have freedom to choose his partner but a girl in the same family can’t…! Isn’t this illogical? Husbands can have all liberty but not the wife. Why? It should be same on either side. Men are cynical and lusty when it comes to feminism. I have heard discussing males some of the vulgar-est comments on women. For them it’s fun and common to upload such vulgar texts, images, clips or pictures without a single thought.

Why can’t we respect women? Why can’t we become decent to them? Why can’t we mind our languages? Its not at all “put on” behavior. It comes within. Its okay to look girls or to attract by cupid sword. Its okay to put some wooing acts, or flirt a little. But its not at all cool to pass comments, torture them or to hurt their self respects. And its neither masculine too. Aged makes faces & youth drools & make comment when girls wear exposable clothes. They give lame excuses to molesting or a rape to the exposable clothes girls wears. But it’s rightly said “If you are diabetic, it is not the fault of shopkeeper to hide their sweets from you”

Without women & their sanity the world would be very dull and messy place. Accept them; respect them as they are idol of greatness. Give feminism the respect they deserve. Be a man !!

Respect quotient

With my colleague, I was standing near the gate of our work place discussing some routine office stuff. My superior and of course so called "disciplinary authority" in terms of Govt hierarchy  entered in his rattled Jeep, making coca-phonic sound entered like a  Tamil film villain. I believe its better to change the way and avoid communication when there are chances someone can take away your peace of mind. Speech is silvern but silence is golden.  I told my colleague to move inside and get back to work. But he insisted to stay..as it would look rude to show back seeing our superior without a greeting. But as expected with force of habit, he taunted addressing to my colleague..."Be sitted on a chair beside and you can discuss peacefully ! Seeing your sir coming and still standing and talking here?." It was all in vain to clarify and make the scene worst.

"A naked person never minds to see the other person naked "   huhh..

A thought transcended in my mind....Respect is something everyone expects in one or the other way. Perhaps the root of love lies in respect. Its something transitory and abstract yet powerful. Its basic emotional necessity expected by everyone. With greater status and mightier position the expectation of it increases..! But in order to earn it, first respect is to be given. The real education is your behavious you show to others, specially who are under you. Or towards them whom you are upper hand. Respect comes from humbleness. Sachin is not only respected because of his success or achievements but also for his ability of digesting his fame. Amitabh Bachhan is not respected for his glamorous career but his humbleness towards his fans. Whenever you are blessed with respectable position you owes greater responsibility to prove to its worth. Its equally essential to prove your worth towards the position. There is no point to achieve external respect and internal curse. There is no worth to see happy faces on your retirement day ! Exercise a 'balanced' leadership. I intentionally put forth the word 'balanced' No one will even remember Who is Dev godas or Chandra Shekhars apart from just a symbolic puppet name when they step down their positions..

Respect is something which can only be won in hearts. Its never ever created in true sense with your power, knowledge or position. Talent glorifies with humbleness and humbleness earns respect.
Its equally essential humbleness is not taken for granted when you are dealing with subordinates. But that of course is a topic will be mulled on some other day. And yes the satire and sarcastic babus  of the Govt is the another subject I will save for my blog in future...Till then,,,,God bless my counterpart and save him from other heart & mind attacks!! ;-)
